Tellegacy partners with a number of relevant groups.

The main focus of our intentional partnerships are:

Older Adult CommunitiesHealth Insurance Providers | Universities

Older Adult Communities

Independent Living

Whether in apartment-style living or in single-family detached homes, Tellegacy serves older adults who desire more company, or simply to encapsulate key nuggets of their life story/legacy.

“I enjoyed talking to my legacy builder. I hope she found our time together to be just as beneficial for her as it was uplifting for me.”

Virginia, In-home living

Assisted Living

Assisted living is a type of housing designed for people who need various levels of medical and personal care. Tellegacy is happy to provide that extra care that builds them up and helps them feel even more connected. Whether living spaces are individual rooms, apartments, or shared quarters, we are happy to serve.

“I was able to talk to someone about my heritage, upbringing and family. It helped me to remember events that were meaningful to my family and myself. I feel blessed that I was selected to participate in the program.”

Hermie, Resident at Merrill Gardens

Retirement Communities

We are happy to partner with retirement communities to help give residents a strong sense of belonging and purpose, catering to seniors who are relishing in newfound freedom, yet keeping them connected in a meaningful way to the next generation. We are committed to partnering with retirement communities in helping seniors age well in a home-like environment where they are considered a vital part of community life.

“It was relaxing and joyful to reminisce. Talking to my student was a wonderful experience because I could share my knowledge over the years with her.”

Anna, Holland Christian Homes

Nursing Home

As a place for people who don’t need to be in a hospital but may not be able to be cared for at home, we like to help keep older adults connected to the things that matter most in their lives as we keep their treasured stories alive and connect them with a purpose through conversation with one who wants and in some cases needs to hear their stories.

We understand that most nursing homes have nursing aides and skilled nurses on hand 24 hours a day, so we also provide services that can assist staff as well. Please contact us to learn more.

“A good generation is on the horizon. My legacy builder was attentive and asked questions. I liked having an outsider to talk to.”

Lynette, Resident at Merrill Gardens

Memory Care

Memory care, as a form of senior living that provides intensive, specialized care for people with memory issues, has allowed us to meet with residents that may have been diagnosed with certain levels of dementia.

“Staff in the care community report residents are asking about next sessions, often several times a day…We’ve found that residents are hopeful and engaged during their weekly time with the students, looking forward to their connection sessions with the students, often asking how soon they will talk with them again.”

Joshua Freitas, Vice President of Program Development; CERTUS Memory Care Living

We happily partner with non-profits for projects as well.

If you are interested, for example, in having our legacy builders meet in regard to a certain theme, such as gathering the stories of veterans, or of an older adult who made a powerful contribution of service to the community, we are happy to structure our sessions in a particular way that is meaningful to that resident and the community.

Health Insurance Providers

Tellegacy partners with Health Insurance Providers.

Tellegacy partners with achi to help connect members with services that address their social determinants of health in order to reduce overall healthcare expenses.

Research shows that social determinants of health comprise 60-80% of a person’s overall health. By focusing on programs that proactively address these issues, health insurance providers can see a reduction in total healthcare expenses by avoiding unnecessary ED visits, inpatient hospital stays, etc. In addition to reducing overall expenses, member health and well-being can be improved overall.

With our flexible approach to caring for your members’ needs, we work with your team to identify at-risk members to target those with the potential to receive the greatest benefit from our services.

Tellegacy partners with Institutions of Higher Learning

Tellegacy partners with Universities and pertinent University colleges, such as the colleges of Nursing, gerontology/geriatrics, Pre/Med, Social work, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Public Health, Dental, and other related University Colleges.

As the older adult population increases and makes up 80% of the clientele for healthcare professional workers, Dr. Jeremy Holloway provides consulting for the enrichment of curricula for multiple colleges related to increasing pre-service student knowledge of patient care.
